Mandala Visio Divina

The practice of Visio Divina (Latin for divine seeing) is a prayer practice of creating space to listen and pay attention to the Holy in our lives. Based on the 6th century monastic practice of Lectio Divina where the object of prayer is a passage of scripture, Visio Divina opens us to Spirit speaking through images which in this instance, are mandalas.
Joanne (see bio) is offering a one hour zoom gathering to open to seeing with the eye of our hearts. The time will include greetings, and a short introduction to Visio Divina and Centering.
We will then engage the PRACTICE of Visio Divina:
10 Minutes of silent Visio
5 Minute interlude
10 Minutes of Visio with Music
There will be an opportunity to share experiences at the end, including any questions regarding mandalas and/or Visio Divina.
The time listed in each Virtual Event is MST or "Arizona time." If you live in a different time zone this link will open a time zone converter so that you can see the corresponding time in your location.
Starting with the July, 2025 Visio Divina gathering, a $10 registration fee will be instituted. The proceeds will be donated to work being done by a friend, Mercy Aiken, with Peace Catalyst International whose mission is equipping Christians for peacebuilding. Mercy has lived in Bethlehem and surrounding Middle East areas, and her heart is to work with many others to bring a stable peace to the Israeli/Palestinian conflicts. She has co-authored "Yet in the Dark Streets Shining," which tells the little-known story of Palestinian Christians as experienced
through the life of one man, his family, and his nation. I highly recommend reading it. Please do take a few minutes to read further about Peace Catalyst International at https://www.peacecatalyst.org/ and about Mercy at https://www.peacecatalyst.org/mercy-aiken.
